Monks Dance
This is a silly question, but I read all the pages of this easter egg list to see if someone knows what the male monk dance is. It looks sort of like Tai Chi but I'm not sure. I thought after all this time, someone would know, but I don't see it anywhere. Can anyone tell me???
Also, the female monk dance is from House of the Flying Daggers, since I didn't see that on the list either. Its a scene with the blind prostitute main character (the Memoirs of a Geisha chick), and a policeman challenges her to a game where he throws beans at drums that surround her in a semi-circle. She has to follow the sounds of the beans as they hit the drums by hitting the same drums with her long sleeves. After the first two or three, he throws the whole bowl of beans at the drums, and she manages to hit all the drums they hit by turning it into this beautiful intricate dance. It's one of my favorite scenes in the movie. It took me about 3 times to realize my female monk did that dance, even the flip kick at the end. Nice job A-net for putting that in
Oh, and no one mentioned the mesmers either--Riverdance anyone? lol I am Lord of the Dance!

This one isn't that big of a deal, but in Tyria, there is a town called Beetletun. One of ArenaNet's level designers is Dave Beetlestone. What are the odds that he worked on that town?

When you kill Naga in Factions, they often drop Naga Hide, which then is crafted into cheesy naugahyde furniture.
Also in Factions, one of the Luxons sends you on a quest to find an enchanted cowbell in a field of blue oysters.
I have a feevah...
and the only cure...
is MORE COWBELL!

Okey, I didn't read all the pages, cause there are alot of them.
Anyway, in Factions n00b area, you can get a quest called Return of the Yeti. Which is ofcourse referenced to Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.

In pre-Searing, when you have Gwen along, you'll find her mother near the res shrine. if you click on her mother, she says something about someone feeling poorly. I can't remember the exact quote, but it is from Beatrix Potter's Peter Rabbit books.

The character mary malone, outside of Fort Ranik, is a reference to the main character in the short story, Lamb to the Slaughter, by Roald Dahl
Read it here

AAAGGHHH!!! Will people stop saying that? Sorry, but it's a pet peeve of mine when credit is not given where it is due, and this is one of the most frequent misquotes I've seen! Yes, the reference is in the Summoner video... but the audio in that clip is not original, it is taken from an audio commedy bit titled "Dungeons and Dragons" by the group The Dead Alewives. The sketch is entirely audio, and there is more to it than what you hear in that video. Yes the video is cool, but all they did was set some animation to what someone else had already scripted and recorded. So while the Summoner video may be funny, it's blatant copyright infringement. If you're going to quote it, quote the true source please!

Thats not what Lukas says, He says "I'm really left handed!"
None the less, I think the reference stands.
